Steinberg introduces MICRA bill

In its early state, SB1429 declares only the intent of the Legislature "to bring interested parties together to develop a legislative solution to issues surrounding" the medical malpractice law.

After promising to introduce a bill to address reforming the state's medical malpractice law, or MICRA, Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg, D-Sacramento, filed SB 1429 on Friday. In its early state, the bill declares only the intent of the Legislature "to bring interested parties together to develop a legislative solution to issues surrounding medical malpractice injury compensation."
