Auto show fundraiser fuels advocacy for youth
The Los Angeles Auto Show teamed up with Court Appointed Special Advocates of Los Angeles, a nonprofit organization that provides assistance to L.A. County foster youth in the court system, to raise awareness and funds for the group's services. The auto show's annual Charity Preview Night, held Nov. 21 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, helped celebrate this week's kickoff of the 106th annual auto show. Guests were able to get a first glimpse at new car concepts, and all proceeds went to CASA. The organization, chaired by Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP chairman Jim Rishwain, provides abused and neglected foster children in Los Angeles with a trained volunteer who acts as a mentor, works to secure necessary services, and makes court recommendations on their behalf. — Kylie Reynolds
