Judge denies bid to pause smartphone litigation

A San Jose federal judge on Tuesday rejected Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.'s bid to stay proceedings in the just-concluded patent lawsuit with Apple Inc.

A San Jose federal judge on Tuesday rejected Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.'s bid to stay proceedings in the just-concluded patent lawsuit with Apple Inc.


U.S. District Judge Lucy H. Koh rejected Samsung's stay motion almost a week after the company submitted an eleventh-hour bid to halt jury deliberations in its most recent patent damages trial with Apple.
