Yelp must pay firm's attorney fees

Judge Ernest H. Goldsmith ruled Monday that Yelp must pay nearly $5,000 in attorney fees to the McMillan Law Group, which the review company accuses of creating user accounts to write fake, puffed up reviews of the firm.

SAN FRANCISCO - A San Diego-based bankruptcy law firm has notched a minor victory against Yelp Inc. in a San Francisco County Superior Court lawsuit brought by the review company.


Judge Ernest H. Goldsmith ruled Monday that Yelp must pay nearly $5,000 in attorney fees to the McMillan Law Group, which Yelp accuses of creating user accounts to write fake, puffed-up reviews of the firm.
