Two justices on the 2nd District Court of Appeal in Los Angeles have confirmed they are retiring early next year, bringing the total number of vacancies on the appellate court to six.
Justice Robert M. Mallano, presiding justice of Division 1, and Steven C. Suzukawa, a justice in Division 4, will both step down at the end of February.
