District attorney Steve Cooley's actions concerning sexual predator cases were mischaracterized.

The statement that District Attorney Steve Cooley backed out of the pretrial agreement concerning sexual violent predator cases is a gross mischaracterization of the DA's response in People v. Castillo ("DA Cooley Backs Out on Sex Case Deals," Feb. 27).
