A bill passed the state Assembly Monday that would increase access to reentry legal services for deported U.S. military veterans.
"Immigrants who serve are promised their citizenship, and we need to keep that promise. Today's action moves us one step closer," said State Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez Fletcher, D-San Diego, in a press release.
