US judge affirms settlement, withholds decision on attorney fees

The $925,000 settlement of the investor case against auditors on Tuesday resulted in $4,500 total for the two lead plaintiffs.

LOS ANGELES — A federal judge said she would rule separately on attorney fees and costs after granting final approval to a $925,000 settlement Tuesday, which resolved investors' claims that auditing firm Baker Tilly Hong Kong Ltd. misrepresented the financial health of the publicly listed China North East Petroleum Holdings Ltd. in 2009.
