Last Friday, UCLA School of Law hosted a speech by Luis Moreno-Ocampo, prosecutor of the International Criminal Court. The event, sponsored by UCLA’s Sanela Diana Jenkins Human Rights Project and the American Society of International Law, served as the keynote speech for ASIL’s second annual Midyear Meeting, held Nov. 3-5. Moreno-Ocampo’s address focused on questions concerning the ICC’s issuance of arrest warrants for Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi and his son, Saif al-Islam.
