Bankruptcy to the rescue in bizarre arbitration

The Florida resident, Gerald Tobin, filed an involuntary Chapter 11 petition against Eagan Avenatti LLP, a powerful Newport Beach plaintiff firm, claiming the firm stiffed him $28,700 for past services, according to a document filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division, on March 1.
