Former soccer star, politician faces deportation under cloud of murder suspicion

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals denied a petition for review sought by Roberto Carlos Silva-Pereira now facing deportation from California, in part because "there are serious reasons for believing" that he helped orchestrate the murder of three political rivals after he fled El Salvador to escape prosecution for corruption.
