Asserting sex bias, lawsuit seeks to revamp workers' compensation

Declaring "California's system of workers' compensation perpetuates the type of overt sex discrimination that is a relic of a past era," a lawsuit filed on Wednesday on behalf of up to 11,000 permanently disabled female workers seeks injunctive relief against the state's entire workers' compensation system.
