More than 700 attorneys attended the Consumer Attorneys of California’s 50th annual convention in San Francisco Nov. 10 through 13, attending educational sessions on topics ranging from the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision on class action litigation to medical devices, financial fraud and elder abuse. During the convention, Niall P. McCarthy, of Cotchett Pitre & McCarthy LLP, was sworn in as the new CAOC president. — Amy Yarbrough
