The Los Angeles County Bar Association´s Immigration Legal Assistance Project and Immigration Section held its Annual Immigration Fair on May 4 at La Placita Church in downtown Los Angeles. The fair provided free consultations, advice and attorney referrals for those seeking citizenship and/or legal residency in the United States as part of this year’s Law Week. The Immigration Fair started 22 years ago to help the immigrant community understand their rights and to promote a better understanding of the legal system for this underserved population. -Connie Lopez
