Gov. Jerry Brown recently signed Assembly Bill 1701 to address labor wage liabilities owed by subcontractors. The bill added Section 218.7 to the Labor Code. By adding a new section to the state's Labor Code, the provisions are enforceable under the California Private Attorneys General Act.
