UC Hastings announces bar passage rate increase

The school said the July bar exam result was the first time since 2009 there had been an uptick.

UC Hastings College of the Law announced Tuesday that 61 percent of the school’s first-time takers passed California’s July bar exam, a 10-percentage-point increase from a year ago.

It was the first time since 2009 that the school’s first-time success rate increased, Chancellor and Dean David L. Faigman wrote in an email to the UC Hastings community.
