Nick Hanna of Gibson Dunn named interim U.S. attorney for Los Angeles

Hanna was included on a list of names sent by the White House to Sen. Dianne Feinstein, who recommended in September that the Trump administration pick Hanna for formal nomination to the position, according to a source within the Department of Justice. It is not clear whether the White House will nominate Hanna for Senate approval at the end of his interim service.

Former federal prosecutor and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP partner Nicola T. Hanna has been named interim U.S. attorney for the Central District, the Department of Justice announced Wednesday.

Hanna's name, along with several others, had been sent by the White House to Sen. Dianne Feinstein for consideration during the summer, according to a source within the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. who wished not to be named. <...
