Newly restored Whittier Courthouse to reopen May 21

The Los Angeles County Superior Court celebrated the reopening of the courthouse on Friday. It was closed in 2013 due to budget cuts.

WHITTIER — The Los Angeles County Superior Court celebrated the reopening of the Whittier Courthouse on Friday with a ribbon cutting, celebrating a renewed focus on service to the court system’s Southeast District.

When the facility resumes business on May 21, it will be the first courthouse in the county devoted solely to family law.
