A Mendocino County Counsel attorney will oversee the public defender's office

A county counsel attorney has been selected to provide oversight at the Mendocino public defender’s office, according to county officials who declined comment about the firing Monday of an assistant public defender who had reportedly assumed an interim leadership role since June.
