Courts are forsaking basic statutory interpretation -- and indeed, their judicial duties -- to give voice to bigotry by excluding sexual orientation from Title VII's prohibition on sex discrimination. The Supreme Court must silence them. (New York Times News Service)

Much of the LGBTQ community fears (and rightly so) being fired because of their sexual orientation; they fear that the way they were born -- who they are -- can get them fired. Few states' laws offer protection. Sparser still are federal protections. And none appear to be forthcoming. So our hope rests, once again, with the Supreme Court.
