San Diego man agrees to pay $5M to settle SEC Ponzi charges

A San Diego man agreed Friday to pay $5 million to settle Securities and Exchange Commission charges that he engaged in a $61 million Ponzi scheme.

Without admitting wrongdoing, Jonny Ngo, president of NL Technology LLC, waived any right to appeal. The settlement was announced one day after the SEC filed its complaint .
