LOS ANGELES -- Alabama-based Maynard Cooper & Gale has opened an office in Century City, bolstering the law firm's commercial and bankruptcy litigation practice.

Judy M. Lam and Duane Kumagai, formerly of the Kumagai Law Group, will lead the office. Lam focuses on complex business disputes in real estate, construction, and banking. Kumagai brings expertise in creditors' rights and provisional remedies.
