Economic espionage cases continue to rise
In describing the initiative, then-Attorney General Jeffrey Sessions announced that the DOJ was pursuing prosecutions in a series of economic espionage cases in which the defendants, primarily Chinese nationals or entities, were alleged to have stolen trade secrets on behalf of the Chinese government.
