Simple theft: No more, no less

A tearful Felicity Huffman pled guilty in the college admission scandal on Monday and now awaits sentencing. How should we think about Huffman and the other parents caught up in what prosecutors call “Operation Varsity Blues”? They are no more and no less than simple thieves and should be treated as such.
