Academic freedom should matter to everyone
The recent outbreaks of childhood diseases all around the nation confirms for me the importance of academic freedom.

The recent outbreaks of childhood diseases all around the nation confirms for me the importance of academic freedom. Vaccinations happen to be the subject of study of a colleague of mine at UC Hastings College of the Law. The ongoing epidemics could have been prevented and these ailments in fact had been brought under control within our lifetime. But the movement against mandatory shots exposes all of us to needless risk.
