No injunction for Monster against competitor

Judge denies Monster Energy’s motion for preliminary injunction against defendant Vital Pharmaceuticals over false advertising and intentional interference claims in an unfair competition suit filed in 2018.

RIVERSIDE -- Monster Energy appears to have lost its bid for a preliminary injunction against a rival energy drink company, the latest in the long-running dispute between the two competitors that has played out in venues around the globe.

Monster claims Vital Pharmaceuticals deceived consumers with false advertising and interfered with Monster's contractual store shelf space.
