Qualcomm asks 9th Circuit to postpone injunction

Chipmaker Qualcomm is taking its fight to the U.S. Court of Appeals to stay the injunction pending appeal as well as a consent motion to expedite appeal in an antitrust case. Last week, U.S. District Judge Lucy H. Koh denied Qualcomm's motion to stay her ruling that ordered Qualcomm to renegotiate all of its business contracts.

Qualcomm Inc. asked the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to postpone an antitrust-related injunction that it says would force it to renegotiate all of its business contracts.

Complying with the injunction requested by the Federal Trade Commission would severely hamper the company's efforts in the race to 5G connectivity, the motion read.
