Lawmakers have decided to provide funding to help the California Commission on Access to Justice split from the State Bar after all.
Legislators did not include money for the panel in the state budget as requested, but the Assembly recently added language to the bar’s fee bill paving the way for $150,000 to go the access commission each of the next two years.
