Michael Balmages likes to point out planets to strangers in the Walgreens parking lot near his home in Tustin.
"I'll just go up to random people, and I'll tell them, 'See that star over there? That's Jupiter. See that star over there? That's Saturn.'" he said, noting he generally has a green laser pointer in his car. "And I've never gotten a negative reaction."
