A fight to carry a firearm in public that is pending in the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals looks likely to be stalled for the foreseeable future.
The U.S. Supreme Court signaled its intent to hear on the merits a different Second Amendment case from New York. That New York appeal prompted the 9th Circuit in February to pause en banc reconsideration of a ruling affirming the constitutional right to openly carry guns in public.
