Environment groups sue, saying US fracking leases threaten Bay Area

The plaintiffs are seeking an injunction to stop the leases and force the US government to produce a new environmental report.

A coalition of environmental groups led by the Sierra Club and Center for Biological Diversity have sued the U.S. government over proposed fracking leases they say threaten the San Francisco Bay and aquifers.
