Candidates vying for Jackie Lacey’s DA position criticize the union’s endorsement of her
Jackie Lacey’s endorsement from the Association of District Attorneys on Tuesday comes as no surprise, said candidates vying for the incumbent DA’s position in Los Angeles County.





LOS ANGELES -- The endorsement Tuesday of Los Angeles DA Jackie Lacey by the union representing 1,000 of her deputies amplifies the debate that is expected to play out with her chief opponent, former San Francisco DA George Gascon, as the race heats up next year.
The Association of Deputy District Attorneys said it disagreed with Gascon's "emphasis on aiding criminals over crime victims" and interest in "restorative justice."
