County may spend emergency funds to hold MS13 gang trial

The Santa Barbara County Superior Court expects to start an 18-month trial in February for 10 defendants accused of multiple homicides and attempted murders linked to the MS-13 gang, although it will likely cost thousands of dollars in emergency funds to renovate the courtroom over the holiday season, said the executive officer Wednesday.
