Judge OKs Clippers’ acquisition of land for stadium in Inglewood

The acquisition of land in Inglewood by the NBA Clippers will proceed as a superior court judge denied the arguments of a citizen groups' coalition seeking bidders to construct low-cost residential housing in the space near Los Angeles International Airport.

The Federal Aviation Administration, whose grants helped the city buy the land at issue, said it was not suitable for homes because it is below the airport's flight path.
