Client can release own documents, appeal panel says in LA water suit
An appellate court has denied an attorney’s attempt to block the release of communications with his former client regarding a controversial Los Angeles water billing settlement. The ruling concerns the release of emails and a retainer agreement, and is likely to be appealed.




An appellate court has denied an attorney's attempt to block the release of communications with his former client regarding a controversial Los Angeles water billing settlement.
The 2nd District Court of Appeal denied Nov. 22 a petition for writ of mandate from attorneys for New York attorney Paul O. Paradis, who represented both a Department of Water And Power ratepayer and the city of Los Angeles in billing litigation.
