Teamsters seek to stop truckers from pausing independent contractor law

The court granted the Teamsters' bid to intervene in the case in January. On Thursday, attorneys for the union filed an opposition motion to the trucking association's bid for a temporary restraining order to stop AB 5.

A federal court should reject a last-ditch attempt to block a new law on independent contractors, according to an opposition motion filed by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.
