Nancy J. Sheehan won many honors during her life though never the Distinguished Attorney Award from the Sacramento County Bar Association. But when they hand out that award next fall, it will have her name on it.
The longtime Porter Scott partner died from a recurrence of cancer on Nov. 23 at 62, not long after the association voted to rename the award in her honor. A memorial service is being planned for Feb. 15.
