Judge demands personal contributions to insurance-driven pension lawsuit settlement

Two former media executives shouldn't only rely on their insurance to settle a lawsuit with a federal pension agency, judge says.

SANTA ANA -- Saying he's concerned about a "moral message," a federal judge has called for the former owners of the now-defunct Freedom Communications Inc. to contribute to a settlement with the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp. that so far is covered entirely by insurance.
