A State Bar task force gave its initial backing Friday to the proposed creation of a so-called regulatory sandbox that would allow nontraditional legal entities to test out new ways of delivering legal services.
The sandbox approach would permit nonlawyers, technologists and attorneys to develop innovative legal offerings without worrying about being accused of the unauthorized practice of law.
