Suit claims Mt. Shasta’s aging sewer system overflows into Sacramento River

Claiming the Environmental Protection Agency failed to act, the non-profit group California River Watch sued the City of Mount Shasta, claiming its aging sewer system overflows during rainy seasons, and dumps raw sewage into gutters, canals and storm drains connected to the Sacramento River.
