Michael Avenatti was arrested Tuesday evening on a warrant requested by the U.S. Attorneys Office for the Central District of California.
Avenatti was approached during a break outside of a State Bar courtroom by federal agents and escorted out of the building. The incident occurred shortly after 6 p.m.
At the state bar's downtown headquarters to fight an attempt to have his license revoked, Avenatti had taken the stand earlier in the day as a witness.
