Inspiration for “The Wolf of Wall Street” claims filmmakers duped him

Jordan Belfort claims in a new Los Angeles County Superior Court complaint he was convinced to provide the rights to his likeness and story based on misrepresentations made to him by Red Granite Productions, a firm founded by Riza Aziz, the stepson of a former Malaysian prime minister, who was charged last year with embezzling funds from the Malaysian government to fund the 2013 hit film.
