Openings in Roundup cancer trial continued amid settlement rumors

Monsanto, which manufactures the weedkiller, attributed the last minute continuance to “avoid the distractions that can arise from trials.” according to a statement.

A state court trial against Monsanto set to start Friday over claims its Roundup weedkiller causes cancer has been continued as both sides inch toward a settlement.

The Bayer AG-owned company attributed the last-minute continuance to "avoid the distractions that can arise from trials," according to a statement.
