Monsanto claims federal conflict in $78M verdict appeal

Monsanto said it's impossible to comply with state law labeling requirements because the Environmental Protection Agency would not have approved a cancer warning on Roundup.

A jury's finding that Monsanto failed to warn consumers its Roundup weedkiller can cause cancer conflicts with federal law, argued the Bayer AG-owned company to an appeals court.
