Jury delivers defense verdict in $87 million Kia defect case
A Los Angeles jury shot down an $87 million products liability case against Kia Motors America following a two-week jury trial.
Following a two week trial, a superior court jury shot down an $87 million products liability claim against Kia Motors America Inc.
The car manufacturer's counsel, Dykema Gossett PLLC, defeated product liability claims that the power steering in Kia Optimas caused drivers to lose control. The issue was whether the driver lost control due to a defect or her own error.
