Open judicial races make for interesting campaigns in Southern and Central California

The candidates include a former child actor who isn’t a prosecutor but is labeled one on TV; a presiding judge being challenged over tardiness in clearing cases; two incumbents facing opponents funded by a real estate developer; and a former judge who changed his name to “Judge” to run in a different county.

The enigmas that are judicial races could this year elect a former judge who changed his name to "Judge" and doesn't live in the county where he is running.
