Apple settles ‘defective device’ class action for up to $500M

Apple Inc. has agreed to settle up to $500M to resolve allegations of throttling older iPhone models.

Without admitting fault, Apple Inc. agreed to pay up to $500 million to settle allegations it purposely slowed older model iPhones to force consumers to buy new ones.
