Class action against Frito-Lay alleges misleading labeling

The lawsuit filed in Orange County Superior Court Wednesday claims the packaging on the chips “hides references to its artificial butter and cheddar cheese flavor” and instead refers generally to “artificial flavors,” according to the complaint.

Frito-Lay North America Inc. is facing a class action over an alleged missing label for artificial flavors in its Ruffles Cheddar & Sour Cream potato chips.
