9th Circuit upholds Led Zeppelin’s district court win

An en banc panel affirmed a jury’s June 2016 verdict rejecting claims Zeppelin ripped off the song “Taurus” by the band Spirit when creating the opening riffs to their iconic “Stairway to Heaven.”

Led Zeppelin’s performance at the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals proved a winning one Monday, following an 11-judge en banc panel’s affirmation of the band’s district court victory.
