New harassment suit filed against justice, 2nd District Court of Appeal

Plaintiffs’ attorney Kelli D. Burritt said she hopes the lawsuit will help “whoever’s making decisions” understand embattled Justice Jeffrey Johnson should not be allowed to return to the courthouse “based on what’s gone on.”

A judicial assistant in the 2nd District Court of Appeal sued the State of California and embattled Justice Jeffrey W. Johnson, alleging a hostile work environment that included sexual harassment and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
